United States Time Zones
The U.S.
has four time zones, ranging from Coordinated Universal Time -4 hours
on the east coast to -7 hours on the west coast. The time zones are:
- Eastern
Standard Time (EST): -4
- Central
Standard Time (CST): -5
- Mountain
Standard Time (MST): -6
- Pacific
Standard Time (PST): -7
For example,
when it is 1 pm in Los Angeles, it is already 4 pm in New York City.
