Persons cited for traffic violations have a choice of one of the three following choices:    

  1. Pay Civil Penalty within 30 days (points).

  2. Request to attend Driver Improvement School (no points)

  3. Contest the citation in court by requesting a trial by a hearing officer or judge within 30 days.
