Crandon Park

Large Miami-Dade County park with beach,nature trails, children's amusement park, world-famous tennis centser and golf course. In Key Biscayne.

The park includes:

Crandon Beach - popular beach with tourists and locals alike. Nationally acclaimed white sand beach with calm waters. Enjoyed by millions.

Crandon Gardens - over 200 acres of botanical gardens and native plant habitat; walking trails, lakes suitable for canoeing.

One of the leading public tennis centers in the US. Home to the Ericsson Open, the world's 5th largest tennis tournament. 17 hard courts, 6 lighted courts, 8 clay courts, 2 grass courts. Day rates $6 per person, $3 per child. Lessons available. Open 8am-10 pm.

Crandon Park Golf Course

Beautiful championship 18-hole golf course with scenic lakes. Only public course in Key Biscayne. Considered one of the most challenging courses in the state.

Fun for kids!

An authentic replica of a working farm circa 1900. Learn about S. Florida's agricultural heritage here. Barn has a farm animal petting area. Demonstrations of farm crafts like horseshoeing, cow milking and sheep shearing.

Other Features: pony rides, country store, stocking fishing pond.

Greynolds Park

A 265-acre park and wildlife refuge on the banks of the Oleta River. Over 90 acres of natural areas with 175 native plant species, local wildlife like foxes, turtles and the rare West Indian manatee.

Other Features: Freshwater lagoon suitable for canoes and paddleboats.

Bird rookery for large wading birds like ibis and great blue herons

The following parks offer nature centers, walking trails and educational outreach programs for all ages. All contain picnic areas, playgrounds and restrooms.

Site of a unique natural stone bridge used by ancient Indian tribes. Bird and wild animal sanctuary. Free tours on Saturday mornings.

1200 foot sandy beach on the banks of the Oleta River and intercoastal waterway. Part of a state park. Refuge for birds, manatees and other wildlife.

Special Features: Canoe, paddleboat, and kayak rentals. Biking trails. Picnic facilities on first-come first-serve basis or by reservation. Fishing pier.

A state park with many natural amenities. Part of a large barrier island ecosystem. 1.25 miles of wide sand beach on the Atlantic.

Special Features: Historic Cape Florida Lighthouse, built 1825. Fishing at the seawall on Biscayne Bay. (Salt water fishing license required.) 18 shaded beachfront picnic pavilions. Bike, kayak, rollerblade rentals. Beach chairs and umbrella rentals. Gift shop. Overnight boat morring available.
